Suggested Set up for paddling bigger waves:
Length: 7′ or 1-2 feet longer than your height (for UK big waves) 2+ feet (for international big waves)
Bottom Contours: Light V entry to disperse bumps and chop, flat mid section and back to a slight V in the tail
Rocker: Medium entry, fairly flat through the middle and low tail
Fin Setup: we recommend a Quad setup for a stronger hold and less drag in big waves however a thruster setup will feel more comfortable to those not used to quads. 5 boxes also available.
Big Wave boards will be glassed heavier to hold the nose down in bigger waves, maintain momentum and withstand stronger forces in the impact zone.
