Description :
Hand Planes are designed for surfing waves via swimming into the wave and pressing down upon the hand plane which effectively lifts your body causing it to create less drag. Whilst they are a style of surfing on their own, they are also a great way of having fun in small surf (or any sized surf) when a board might not be available (such as a honey moon).
They also are great practice for actually riding the surf without anything but your hand (the same rules apply); which can be a invaluable trick to getting in when it is big and your leash has snapped!!
